Stephen Fry in the Morning

I want a man. Not another one that would make a mess in my house or cost me money. NO. What I want is a man to "do" for me. To organize my life and take care of things. I do have a chef, but no one to clean up after him. I need someone who will schedule spring cleaning and then, DO IT!
I think you can tell that the "mess" is starting to get to me. I need to get surfaces cleared off. I just can't go on with chaos so rampant.
You know, it's not as if the men I live with aren't intelligent. They are and that helps me deal with the burps and farts better. And the smell...but the constant mess they make defeats me. I just don't have the energy or discipline to keep the muddle at bay.
On another note, isn't Hugh Laurie a cutie? Even if he plays difficult characters like House and Bertie Wooster, he has the nicest eyes!
I started swatching for the Purple Sweater. I will wash the swatch and take a picture of it for you all to see. I think I will do some small cables in the ribbing at the bottom of the sweater and then one bigger cable up the front and on the arms that will go into the shoulder strap. Nothing real elaborate but something interesting to knit.
We went out to dinner last night for Brian's birthday. Had a very nice dinner and some really good conversation. Brian had the charm turned on and we all laughed a lot and enjoyed the food too! Brian invented the word, Probunkulate, and we were all using it in a sentence. You had to be there but it was very witty and lots of fun. Then he went over to "That Jake's" house and got high...how disappointing an end to a mostly lovely evening.
Oh, and Patrick lost his driver's licence for six months for his speeding ticket. They knocked the points down to four but it still puts him over as he still has his probationary licence. He will have to get a permit to drive to school and work and it will no doubt increase our insurance rates through the roof! Much crap.
Tomorrow night is the String Alongs meeting at Michelle Z's house and I am looking forward to hanging out with the girls for the evening but will have to leave pretty early as I have to be up and out Thursday morning at about 6:45 a.m. to pick Susan up and go to court in Madison. More about that later. Anyway it will be pleasant to sit with the girls and laugh and shoot the breeze. Make plans and eat and did I mention laugh? See you there,
Lynda

Be careful what yuo wish for............ I have a man who "does." Along with the DOING comes the power to say "I do this better than you" and "DO it my way" ............. and the guilt. You can't win. Have fun at the string alongs. michele

Yes I know you are right. I just never got the housewife gene and make a better Wooster than a Jeeves! Wish you were coming to String Alongs too.
Love,
