Golfing Pneumonia & Macrame

My husband is home today sick with pneumonia. He has had a cold and cough for a week or so but he managed to drag himself to the golf course every day this week except Wednesday because he cooks at a restaurant here in town. He didn't play yesterday after he found out he had pneumonia. I think he thought better of it and knew I would give him hell if he played after his diagnosis!

*Health update* Joe just mentioned he intends to play golf later this afternoon, after he gets an afternoon rest...you just have to love them as they are, don't you?

I was talking with Donna T. about macrame yesterday at crafting. She will be teaching a class on it at the 4-H conference in Madison soon and I was picking on her about this "lost" craft. I had found these pictures that seemed a good reason why the craft died out! What do you think?

I am just not sure there is a place for garments like this in my wardrobe....

Went over to Loose Ends Yarn Shop's knit night last night with Terri N. and had a lovely time as usual. I am making pot holders for my husband using that old washcloth pattern where you cast on three stitches and increase one stitch until it is big enough and then decrease one stitch until you have three stitches left and then cast off. I make them out of wool and then felt them and they make very nice pot holders and mindless knitting. My husband is so hard on pot holders that he needs new ones often. Anyway that was my knitting at knit night so that I could keep track of all the chatter and still make something. Because of the crowd, I really didn't get to talk with Michele as much as I would like, so I hope to talk with her more when things calm down for her. She has house guests and the shop keeps her hopping, too!
