Summer Music

This is the first of two posts about summer-the best time of the year!

NPR had an interesting program about summer music and the songs we remember as real summer tunes. Made me think about the songs I remember that seem to be playing in the background on my summers. Of course one thinks of Beach Boys but there are some other greats that make me think of summer-I think mostly summer music is pretty light-hearted. In my youth it was pretty much British Invasion for me! They sounded SOOO different.
The Beatles,Paperback Writer; The Kinks, Lola; really early Moody Blues.

 My best friend Irene and I listened to the Rolling stones a lot and I always think of her when I hear anything from Between the Buttons. Love that album!

My sister Jeanne really liked that British stuff too like the Dave Clark Five!
