New Knitty Magazine

Now here is an interesting and it would seem, very cool pattern. I am intrigued and take a look at it in another color way. I think I like it!

Well, finally the Christmas lights and tree are set up. The tree only has the lights on it but things are looking up. The house is starting to look very festive. I also simmered some herbs and spices to make the house smell like good stuff too.

And my Father Christmas is nearly finished! Should have him done for Madison Knitting Guild tomorrow night. Chris Bylsma is the guest speaker talking about I am not sure what? I am going to wear this really cool poncho sort of wrap that I bought from my friend Cynthia. It is a sort of mushroom color that goes with everthing! And I think I look good in it so all the more reason to wear it!!

I didn't make it to friend Bee's cookie walk sponsored by her church, this morning, darn it! I want a lot of cooking to send to friends and don't want to have to bake ALL of them! Oh well, time to get off my butt and get some cookies baking so that I can get the packages sent in time.

I rented the movie, Nanny McFee and I just love it! Really delightful fairy tale AND some nice hand knit sweaters in it too! I also got to see Polar Express last night and really enjoyed that as well. Some wonderful films. I a have a made for televesion BBC film of Elizabeth I to look at this evening! I am all set I guess.
Well talk to you later,
Lynda
PS.Got this recipe from Sara Kleefisch:
I know it's a little early, but it is time to start baking for the
holidays.
This is the BEST Christmas Cookie recipe EVER!
Cuervo Cookies
1 cup ofwater
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo
again to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric
mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try
another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuckin the cup of dried fruit,
Pick the frigging fruit off floor.
Mix on theturner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it
loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift
two cups of
salt, or something. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift t
the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add aspoon of
sugar, or
somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360
degrees
and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally,
throw the
bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put
the stove in
the dishwasher.
CHERRY MISTMAS!!!
